VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Architects, Engineers and other professionals volunteer their skills to help rebuild from the fires in Los Angeles County. Helping Draw Together is a donation based, no cost service to start rebuilding, working with homeowners from evaluation to plan check approval.

 

At no cost to homeowners, this organization's professionals will work with homeowners from evaluation to plan check approval.

Helping Draw Together is seeking a myriad of community members and professionals to volunteer. Roles include Architects and Engineers, Lawyers and Accountants, Marketing and Social Media savvy individuals, Project Managers and Team Leaders, IT and Systems knowledgable individuals, Fundraising and Finance individuals, neighbors to make site visits, and other people to help with communications via email, phone and text. If there any desire to help, a role to fill will be found.

DONATING OPPORTUNITIES

An emergency fund to help outdoor workers – street vendors, landscapers, and recyclers – impacted by the Los Angeles fires.​ Workers can apply for one-time cash assistance support of $500. Recipients will receive cash payments on a first-come, first-served basis, and as funding allows.​

NFF seeks support to restore the health and vitality of Southern California’s National Forests. Without active reforestation, restoration and management, the forests will continue to decline, and the occurrence of severe wildfires will continue to increase. 

If you would like to support animals in Los Angeles but don’t want to make individual donations to many different organizations, this is a giving option to spread your impact on animals collectively. 

 

This organization is supporting four organizations that help companion and wild animals: Best Friends Animal Society, San Diego Humane Society, Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center, and Pasadena Humane Society.  

Provides vital equipment and funds critical programs to help the LAFD save lives and protect communities.

Works with local fire agencies and community-based organizations to provide direct financial support to impacted residents as details of the damage emerge. 

First on the frontlines to quickly provide freshly made, nutritious meals to communities impacted by disasters.

The California Black Freedom Fund and California Community Foundation have partnered to launch the Black LA Relief & Recovery Fund. This Fund will support community organizations on the ground working to meet the immediate and long-term needs of Black communities displaced by the wildfires.

For the Los Angeles Wildfires, CCF'S disaster and recovery efforts support an array of critical recovery services while also aiding in rebuilding essential infrastructure. Website provides details.

Supports direct organizing of residents impacted by the Los Angeles fires to fight for the recovery, health, safety, and housing needs in the community.

The Jewish community has mobilized to provide essential resources, including mental health support, warm meals, shelter, and space for displaced individuals, families, and institutions. One hundred percent of donations go directly to those who need it most.  

You can bring comfort to families in need by donating gently used clothing.

Here’s How You Can Help:

  • Donate Clothing: Drop off your gently used clothes at our LA location, open daily from 10 AM to 7 PM. 

  • Volunteer: If you can’t donate, join us as a volunteer to help sort and distribute clothing.
